My curator friend, Nicole (Ning-Ning), wanted my help in producing an art exhibition titled “marginalia (notes from the peripheries)”, which we started preparations for in July 2023. The concept of the show is to highlight the marginalised experienced, showing the abundance that exists within these spaces. To do this, she reached out to 18 people and groups to take part in the show. She had a clear vision for what what wanted to achieve, and as the Exhibition Producer/Manager, I did everything I could to make sure it could happen.
I supported the curator with managing the exhibition timeline, ensuring that all personnel involved were able to submit their deliverables on time while preparing for the exhibition. My responsibilities also included marketing and design, creating promotional materials for the social media/promotional materials. I assisted in designing the main poster, as well as taking photos/videos for some installation shots and exhibition events. Alongside the curator, I helped to make sure that workshops were running smoothly and that the exhibition was being well-maintained, being present in the exhibition space as an informative guide.
